7 tips for Banner Design

Effective banner design is a key element in online advertising campaigns; your banners also reflect the image of your business. That’s why having a good design banner is very important. Here are several things you might want to keep in mind:

1. Use correct colors and fonts as well as animation to attract the audiences’ eyes and entice them to click on the banner.

2. Never put an article in the banner. Just a short but meaningful phrase or just a few words that can clearly tell what the ad wants to say is good enough. Simple is good.

3. Make sure the contents in the banner are relevant to the products you want to promote.

4. Emphasis some important words which are the selling point of your products. Use bigger font or sharp color to attract viewers’ eyes.

5. It’s best to put the logo and the URL in the banner, which helps your ad campaign and brand building.

6. Web banner size can’t be too big. Try to keep it as less as possible because it’s easy and quick for them to load before or at the same time as the page. You don’t want it showed up after the whole page is loaded. In that case, you have less chance to grab the viewers’ attention. So pay attention to the colors and the graphics you used.

7. Sometimes there might be a story line shown in the ad banner so pay attention to the time for banner to run. It’s better to keep it in 5 or 8 seconds. It sounds not realistic that the viewers would spend more than 10 seconds to look at how the banner run without thinking go to another page.
